The Scorpio is very much ruled by its emotions, seeking out emotional security rather than material. Very astute and intelligent, they also have the uncanny ability to see right through people, and their intuition means that they can form judgements at the drop of a hat.

They seem to have a need for drama and intensity, with the Scorpio having a tendency to stir things up to create excitement. Leo, for example, could find it difficult to understand the jealousy of Scorpio when they’re so open and trusting themselves. They’re also much more social and will quickly get bored of the quiet nights in favoured by Scorpio, and will dislike the constant introspection required.

Another mismatch is with Aquarius, who is extremely independent and will hate the possessive nature of Scorpio. Gemini and Scorpio also have vastly different emotional natures, with Scorpio being more passionate and emotional and Gemini much more detached. But, one match that would definitely be compatible is between Scorpio and Pisces. A Scorpio/Aries relationship can be very passionate, with both parties being very emotional, albeit with slightly different responses to situations. Just as interesting would be a Taurus and Scorpio match, who although appear to be complete opposites can often have a great connection and are both often possessive of their partners.
